The most common incisions used for breast augmentation insertion includes the infirmary fold which are just below the breast, the bore of the areola and native skin called areola approach or through the armpit know as the transaxillary approach. Each approach has its positives and negatives. The 2 most direct approaches are right through the border of the areola or through the infirmary fold. The transaxillary incisions can be used semi implants it can be somewhat more difficult for silicon implant placement. Likewise with small areola if one want silicone implants that are quite large they may not able to improve in that way. So the most common incisions used these days is through the infirmary approach.
